My family's origins lie in Huntsville, Alabama. , the cradle of The Talented Tenth
and a major center of American intellectual development in the 20th Century.

My home is San Francisco, California , La Yerba Buena, the beautiful garden by the ocean.
Through my design firm, (ART+DATA) , I help companies pursue innovation through design, brand and analytics.

My father hung a replica of John Singer Sargent’s El Jaleo in the hallway outside my bedroom as a teenager. It was absolutely beautiful.
As I galloped down the stairs on my way to school each morning, the painting made me want to jump inside, and dance through life with this woman. I Came of Age with a deep desire for adventure and celebration.
I simply wanted to celebrate everything.
